Newspaper Birds Dance Company founded in 2013 by Artem Hordieiev and director Tetiana Khyzhnyak in Kyiv, as an artistic company, exploring the possibilities of contemporary theater.

​The company's dancers perfected their skills in dramaturgical and dance improvisation techniques, based on Hellinger's Family Constellations method.

​

Projects were created from 2013, including defending methodology of work at the Kyiv University Theater. A one-act ballet "Anima", also based on method, performed at the Contemporary Dance Festival in Kyiv Opera, to the music of the Marseille double bass orchestra.

Artem Hordieiev was born in 1988 in Cherkasy (Ukraine). Graduated from the Faculty of directing a classical and modern ballet, The Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema, and Television University. 

​

Artem is Grand Prix Winner of the Choreographer Competition of the Lviv Theatre of Opera and Ballet (2015, Ukraine).

From 2014 to 2018, Artem Hordieiev was invited to the "The Great Gatsby Ballet" led by the world ballet star and artistic director Denis Matvienko. Direction, choreography by Dwight Rhoden (Complexions Contemporary Ballet), USA.
